I was born and raised in Dandora, one of the toughest neighbourhoods in Nairobi, Kenya.Although education was highly treasured and considered and opportunity to open new windows in life,my education life had limitations.Being a lastborn in a family of 3,all efforts were aimed at me to complete my education and be a  resourceful person in the society. This wasn’t however possible since demise of my father when i was only 7 years old.My mother had to contend with doing menial jobs to make ends meet. This clearly indicated all the lights om my education were slowly dimming

After much struggle and and burning determination I managed to complete primary education and that’s where my dreams were newly ignited as I got full scholarship by HOPA foundation. This made me even more obliged to reach unpredicted heights and inspired me to continue pushing more on books and this finally reaped good results at the end of 4 years in secondary education.

Upon witnessing this and seeing the burning ambition,HOPA foundation continue to offer a shoulder to lean on after I secured a spot in Kenya medical training college and currently in the final year of training in Nursing faculty.

I would encourage any individual with a goal to venture into the field of education and reach greater heights to always trust in determination as this will keep their candle burning and fuel their journey to success.

My ambition is to become a resourceful person in the community and deliver good and quality care to the nation that will be of beneficence to them.I would also stretch my hand back to the community and help the children who had no chance to  education to enable them achieve their future dreams and instill inspiration to them through me as an example.
