About the HOPA Foundation
The HOPA Foundation is a family-run non-profit organization that focuses on educating orphaned and vulnerable children and supporting youth programs through sports. HOPA was founded in honour of our parents’ Harun Ogutu & Perez Akinyi (and the name HOPA coined as an acronym of their names).
We are dedicated to providing educational opportunities for orphaned and vulnerable children. They believe in the power of education to transform lives and provide a brighter future for these children. Additionally, the foundation supports youth programs through sports, recognizing the positive impact sports can have on the physical and mental well-being of young individuals.
